We never talked about it
But it was always in the air
The way how the air is compressed in one rhythms
They call it breathing
I call it you.
We rarely talked about it
But it was always here to stay
The way how the flame
Performs the play
When you look at me
When I look at you.
It’s mesmerizing
How the moon is changing it’s shape
Without letting me know
It feels like it’s always a full moon
When I meet you.
It’s almost tangible
When you are quite
No words come
No memory lines
That I keep cutting and cutting
I see that you’re tired
Befriending you
I befriended the chaos
The fluidity of present tense
I said “Yes”
Than I said “No”
Than I said “Yes”
Now I don’t know
Which way it leads me.
But even if I don’t want it
Even if I don’t see it
Even If I don’t believe in it
I surrender.
I remember
One man, a poet
Once told me
There must be something you don’t see in you.
Alas, perhaps,
There must be something in me
That is seen by you.
We never talked about it
And I’m in doubt we ever will.
But the way
how the flame
performs the play

Her feather following the wind
Her breast curves roundly
As she repeats her ancient melody
Proudly.
Somewhere, silent presence in the room
The night is blurred
With the sound of the strings
It feels
Like I’m touching the water
While I’m playing for him.

To decorate the night
To keep the muses by his side

sophistication. is a project of the Ukrainian artist Sofia Shvager, currently based in Copenhagen,
Denmark.
In her music, she combines an acoustic guitar with a piercing voice making quite a minimalistic and calming sound. She enriches her sound with elements from different genres to create a slow city-meditation with her stories, a bit dark and melancholy but quite and warm.
