“Ten folds” is an album consisted of 30-minutes piece created for the exhibition “Women Fleeing War”, a series of portraits of Ukrainian women fled to the north of Denmark with the beginning of the Russian invasion in Ukraine, shot by the Danish photographer Kirstine Fryd.


It is my first instrumental work. It’s the first time when I was recording a certain state without looking for words or manifesting a voice as something primal. This album largely came from my own experience of my road from Kyiv to, eventually, Copenhagen started on February 24th.



These sounds are not a complete story. Here I only tried to re-create a glimpse of the feeling of that road, the veil of numbness I experienced. Mainly, it’s one melody, one big lullaby unfolding in ten short sketches written and recorded in Copenhagen in summer/autumn 2022.



The creation of the music was supported by Kirstine Fryd, Struer Museum, and largely with a help of Sound Art Lab (personally, Jacob Eriksen) and Displaced Artist Network.
